The Faces of Angkor Wat
This is a sight to behold: ancient, impressive structures -- the largest and most impressive at the time of completion (in the 1100s) -- and modern, curious people -- taking in the splendor and potential of humanity. Most of the people at Angkor Wat will never accomplish an architectural feat like the Mahayana Buddhist King Jayavarman VII when he built Bayon Wat. So we clamour together here, speaking different languages, seaking ancient wonders. Here we stand in the shadow of the pinnacle of Khmer society, representing the elite from all manners of twenty-first century society.
